Free fantasy/romance for St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
From today (03/15 – 03/18) I’m giving away a pdf ebook of
Queen of Kings, the fantasy/romance about Mocha Mong Raud about the only woman
listed as a High King of Ireland. Just email me at CelticRomanceQueen@gmail.com
with Happy St. Patrick’s Day in the subject line and I’ll email Queen of King
to you.
As wild, strong, and beautiful as the land she rules, all men lust for
her, warriors and kings bow to her might and magic, but one champion comes
forth with a white bull and true love.
Blurb:
Macha of the Red Braids exudes the essence of female power.
Defying and fighting two kings, she takes her father’s place on the throne.
With one goal in mind, she uses magic, battles, disguises, and skills of
seduction to take the crown as sole ruler, the only woman listed as a High King
of Ireland. She builds the famed kingdom of Emain Macha, marking off the
borders with the pin of her cloak brooch. Yet a Champion, from the wilds of
Connaught, throws the powerful battle queen off-guard when he comes to claim
her heart. Has Macha met her match with Nath of Connaught? Will he pass the
three trails she has set before him?
Excerpt:
It was night, her element. For as there were the dark gods of the moon
and the sea, so there were the bright ones of the sun. She was dark. Her gaze
fell onto the distant plain where she had raced with Nath earlier in the day.
Though clouded in darkness now, she thought of the lush green grass that
blanketed the earth. The deep, dark soil, firm and solid, sure, constant,
dependable. She turned and gasped. Nath had come upon her, silently. He stood
there at her side.
“I did not mean to startle you, my queen.”
His nearness was overwhelming. She cleared her throat, pretending not
to be affected. “Not at all.”
But she couldn’t tear her gaze from him. Fiery sun, bright and hot, big
and bold. Everyone wanted him to shine on them.
“The druid thought you would be out here.”
“The druid knows me well.”
When the rays of the sun touched the rich earth, they created the lush
peaceful green pasture. She needed him, the sun for her earth. They completed,
they belonged together, dark and light, earth and sun, Nath and Macha. The
druid knew it, and druids were never wrong.
He looked up and her gaze followed his. The pearl moon gleamed, smooth
and perfect against a clear, ebony sky, twinkling with countless stars.
“Dark, sparkling, vast and enchanting,” Nath rasped.
“Yes, the night sky is lovely.”
“I did not mean the sky, my queen.”
A twinkle of moonlight caught her eye as she gazed at him. His eyes
alone could set her ablaze. Fire danced in her. “I need to speak with you.”
“Yes, your majesty.” He leaned closer to her.
“Nath, what is it you want of me?”

The Celtic Vixen - free this week
Hi eveyone,
I wanted to share - beginning tommorow 01/16 to 01/20 - my medieval/fantasy romance The Celtic Vixen is free on kindle.
Blurb:
Nesta’s family urges the fiery, middle-aged widow to get a new husband to protect the villa, but she can take care of the villa herself. So she picks up her deceased husband’s long sword and joins the15-year-old war leader, Arthur, to battle Saxons. There she meets the dark warrior, Ulfin, who, unknown to Nesta, is haunted by the matchmaker ghost of her deceased husband, but this spirit has his work cut out for him for Ulfin and Nesta care more about war than love.
Excerpt:
"Caledvwch," Dubricius called out the name of the renowned blade.
"My people, I pledge to rid all of Britannia of the Saxon scourge." Arthur's voice rang out with clarity and strength. "I shall rule as one with the land as the Celtic kings of old."
Ulfin, Nesta, and everyone there raised their hand high in salute and yelled thrice, "Arthur map Uther, Arthur map Uther, Arthur map Uther."
A deep voice said, "I am glad to see this day."
Ulfin turned toward the speaker and gasped. "Gwynfael or Gwynfael's ghost, whichever, what are you doing here?"
The spirit grinned. "Watching the convocation with you."
Nesta flashed a puzzled half smile. "Are you all right?"
"Yes, I was not speaking to you."
"Then who were you speaking to?" Nesta’s brow crinkled.
"She cannot see me." The fuzzy ghost chuckled.
Ulfin blinked. "You were right, you do not glow as bright as you did last night."
"Did you say something?" Nesta asked Ulfin.
"You were drunk." Gwynfael nodded. "It is why I seemed to have glowed more."
"I think I need to get drunk again." Ulfin sighed.
"Oh, yes, they will pass around cups of ale at the feast. Come let us get a good place." Nesta reached for Ulfin's hand.
"What a woman. She has not changed. So beautiful, is she not?" Gwynfael’s eyes locked onto Nesta as he asked Ulfin, "Are you taking her to the feast?"
Not wanting to appear to be speaking to himself again, Ulfin remained silent and shrugged his shoulders as he stared at the pale, fuzzy figure.
Thanks,

New Young Adult Release
The Prince of Powys
The Prince of Powys
In an age of heroes, Branda, a Saxon princess helps Blaise, a Prince of Powys, escape her father’s stronghold. In turn, he vows to escort the princess to her sister in Scotland so she can escape an arranged marriage. Instead, he holds her captive as his hostage in the unbreachable hill fort of Dinas Bran, where she captures his heart. Will Blaise be forced to throw away his honor for love or to tear out his heart for honor?
Excerpt:
"Before the sky and the earth and the sea,
Before the sun and the moon and the stars,
I place a circle of safekeeping around you.
Oh Blaise, bind yourself to Bran's power,
mighty is its strain, oh Blaise.
Magical energy will enliven,
And empower you on the field of battle.
Thrust the Saesneg with the sword of Nuada.
Around you, I place a circle of protection,
To bind Bran's power to you, oh Blaise."
Scan continued to strum the harp and Neilyn drew blue circles upon Blaise's legs, arms, and chest as he continued the enchantment.
"Win your princess as Bran foretold,
So the two of you shall return to us,
To live a life full of honey,
With peace as ample as the sky.
Be this nine times eternal.
I place a circle of protection around you.
Oh Blaise, bind yourself to Bran's power."
Blaise picked up a bronze mirror adorned with Celtic tracery. The image of a warrior prince painted with the magic of the old gods gazed back at him. Pride and determination filled him with a warm glowing sensation of peace and invincibility.
Before he vaulted onto his steed, Neilyn presented him with Nuada's sheathed sword of power. Blaise drew the blade from the serpent etched sheath. The gleaming bronze hilt, curved in never-ending circles of life, mesmerized him as rays of sunlight danced upon the long, powerful sword, which glistened with an ethereal luster.
Neilyn bent his head down and kissed the gleaming blade. Blaise brandished it high in the air as Brochfael, Elisedd, and all the gathered Cymry praised its power.
